The EN 1307 performance standard
The EN 1307 performance standard is a common European standard for test and classification of textile floorings. Carpets and tiles from ege are tested and subsequently classified according to the EN 1307 standard. The standard makes it easy for you to compare our products with each other or with competing products.
ege's laboratory hold thorough testing equipment, which is used in our product development activities and in our continuous check-ups to ensure that our products conform to specifications at all times. Our lab is both qualified and equipped to perform EN 1307 testing and classification, however, normally ege uses test results from an independent testing laboratory, thus assuring users that the classifications and specifications are based on impartial testing.
Tests of durability, appearance retention, colour fastness to light, colour fastness to rubbing dry, colour fastness to rubbing wet and colour fastness to water must always be conducted and the EN 1307 requirements should be met in order for a product to be classified. Additionally, specific demands are made on carpet tiles regarding total carpet weight, variation of size, squareness and dimensional stability.
On the basis of the tests, a domestic or commercial performance area classification is given.
Documentation
In each product's technical data sheet, test results and declarations link to documentation, such as independent test reports, certificates, approvals or guides.
