Carpets do not cause asthma and allergies
Several scientific studies confirm that there is no increase in the number of occurrences of asthma and allergies among children and adults living in houses with carpets on the floors. Generally seen the cases of asthma worldwide are increasing, at the same time as the use of carpets is significantly decreased.

Carpets do not pollute the indoor climate
All carpets from ege are approved in accordance with the Danish Indoor Climate Labeling. The label imposes different demands on the product. There is an upper limit to the amount of vapour, as well as demands about what kind of substances it may vapour. For example no cancer-causing substances may be submitted from the products. The label also set up demands to smell impression from the product. The Danish Indoor Climate Label concerns demands to the product during use and documents that the product is easy to live with.

Carpets can be eco-friendly and sustainable
Many different certificates exist documenting whether a product is eco-friendly and sustainable. For example look for carpets approved in accordance with BRE, LEED and BASTA. You can read more about these certificates under Product certificates.
